Design and Construct
Our speciality is to take a client’s dream from concept to completion. Whether you fancy an update to your kitchen and bathrooms, need an extension to accommodate your growing family, or want to address the flow and functionality of your home, we can assist from start to finish. Melinda will work with you on all stages of the design and then transform it into reality, taking care of all construction and trades under our QBCC builders’ licence. If you already have your own architect and builder, we are great collaborators.
Architectural Materials and Finishes Specification
With a market full of endless choices, it can be daunting and time consuming to plan a new build or renovation. Forming a coherent selection is a challenging process – it’s tough to know where to start. We have curated a network of trusted suppliers and trades to help simplify the process. We are always building on our product knowledge so we can offer new and innovative design suggestions that may not even be on your radar.
Joinery Design
Bespoke integrated cabinets and built-in furniture provides a customised approach to storage and can make a strong visual statement. Whether it’s kitchen joinery, bathroom vanities, custom wardrobes or entertainment units we consider all of your requirements and carefully tailor every element to achieve a unique storage solution. We are passionate about this aspect of design and work closely with furniture craftsmen and cabinet makers to create inspired and impactful storage solutions.
Lighting Design
Lighting creates ambience and can make or break a room but is it often an afterthought. Good lighting design considers the hierarchy of task, general and ambient lighting sources, and should be contemplated at the early planning stage. We work with numerous industry professionals to create well-crafted and beautiful lighting designs.
Window Treatment Design
Window treatments are so much more than sun control or privacy barriers – they add another layer of texture to a space. We partner with quality workrooms to offer a selection of curtains, blinds, shutters and films that are both practical solutions and beautiful designs to complete your rooms.
Architectural Review
We can cast an eye over architectural designs to consider all the details from ‘the inside out’. We’ll make sure all the spaces work well and flow logically. Building or renovating without an early detailed review invariably ends in compromise. Elegant in Design can work with your architect to make sure all the details are taken care of so that your home or business looks and feels great, and functions as it should.
Interior Decoration
We’ll work with you to identify the perfect collection of furniture, fabrics, rugs and interior accessories to complete your space. We have an extensive contact list of local and international suppliers to help us find the perfect pieces to suit your décor. We work specifically with trade only suppliers so you can be confident your home will have a unique style that you’re proud to live in.
We also work with furniture restorer craftsmen, French polishers and upholsterers to repurpose, revamp and modernise your family heirlooms.

Spatial planning is the key, and we are masters of the balancing act between aesthetics and functionality. Whether we are updating one room or creating something from nothing, we make sure our designs work with your lifestyle and reflect your personality.
Colour Consulting
Do you just need help selecting the perfect colour combination? We can assist with identifying external and internal colour schemes and show you the finished result in a 3D render. We work with quality painters and decorator trades.
